The community defied the cold night on Saturday, August 16, dressing to the nines and slipping on their best dance shoes for the annual ball, which raises money for local youth.
Club president David Kelly said he was pleased with how well the event ran.
“It was so inspiring to see the community turn out to support a great cause and have an amazing night,” he said.
“Everyone dressed up, socialised and tore up the dance floor. We were so glad we could brave the cold weather and bring everyone together for a great night.”
Acoustic Box, a two-man band, entertained guests with a range of classics and hits.

Guests enjoyed a two-course meal provided by the Grand Central Hotel and brought out by a tight-knit team of volunteers, while two-man band Acoustic Box kept a steady playlist of classics and hits to keep the boogie going.
A series of auction items, donated generously by local businesses, brought out some friendly competition among guests.
Mr Kelly said he was humbled by the generosity of the ball’s many supporters.
“I shouldn't be surprised, Cobram is so community-minded,” he said.
“We really want to thank everyone who came to the event and made it such a success, as well as all the donors and supporters who helped make it possible.
“The Apex Club is dedicated to providing service and building better communities. This event allowed us to do both by bringing people together for an amazing cause. It is a credit to the local community that the night was such a success.”
Over 130 guests filled the function room at the Cobram Civic Centre in a demonstration of community solidarity.

The event, just the second of its type run by the Cobram Barooga Apex Club, raises funds that go straight back into the community through the $8000 YAL and Apex Cobram-Barooga Post-Secondary Scholarship.
The scholarship supports a student from the 3644 postcode to pursue higher education after leaving school.
Recipients of the YAL and Apex Cobram-Barooga Post-Secondary Scholarship from last year include local student Harrison Bates, who was honoured to receive it earlier this year.
