With over 300 people attending, the day had a range of entertainment, including ‘come and try’ group fitness classes and a pool party for the kids with a range of activities, including a giant inflatable obstacle course.
It was the first open day to be held since the pandemic began and was a chance for Shepparton residents to get involved.
Greater Shepparton City Council active living manager David Booth said it was a popular event, with 140 people signing up for the membership specials and attendees excited by the range of events that were put on.
“It was a great day to see many people coming and buying memberships,” Mr Booth said.
He said it was good sign to see people getting involved in the activities.
“The pool party was a successful part of the event with all people getting involved, which was great to see,” he said.

Mr Booth said it was essential for these events to go ahead.
“The day was a real success and is fundamentally reminding people of a range of services that we provide,” he said.
