Each year, more than 2,000 megalitres of water flows into Tatura’s urban system after passing through our water treatment plant, delivered through the Central Goulburn irrigation channels - the town’s sole raw water source.
Our community includes around 2,090 residential customers, 183 businesses and five major industrial users, all depending on a safe and reliable supply.
Residential water use has steadily increased, rising from 468 megalitres in 2022–23 to over 640 megalitres in 2024–25. This reflects both population growth and changing water needs across the town.
Standing proudly above it all is the Tatura Water Tower, reaching 27.7 metres and holding 363,688 litres - a reminder of the essential services supporting daily life.
To meet Tatura’s growth, we’re progressing a number of important water and sewerage projects, ensuring the town has the infrastructure it needs for today and tomorrow.
Across our region, we deliver more than 24 billion litres of water each year to nearly 64,000 customers in 54 towns, and we’re committed to protecting this precious resource. While providing safe and dependable water and wastewater services is our core focus, our impact reaches far beyond the tap.
From clever reuse of recycled water to low‑emissions operations, community partnerships and innovative infrastructure — including projects like the nearby Dunyak Moira Fishing Ponds — we’re delivering today for a stronger, more sustainable future for Tatura.
