Joe Matera – Workshop and Musical Performance
Being a musician and an author might seem worlds apart, but they have much more in common than you might think. For the past 25 years musician, music journalist and author Joe Matera has etched out a living from both, seamlessly moving between his music and writing career. From undertaking European concert tours, to writing for some of the world’s biggest music magazines to author of two best-selling books, Backstage Pass: The Grit and the Glamour and Louder Than Words: Beyond the Backstage Pass.
In this workshop, Joe shares stories of his writing and musical life. He lifts the curtain on what goes on behind the scenes, in turn offering insights, anecdotes and helpful tips for any aspiring writer and musician, and any fan and lover of books and music.

Bring along a piece of clothing that needs some repair – a hem that’s falling down, a split seam, a small tear in an item.

Shepparton Library offers tablet devices for loan in the library: you can connect via library Wi-Fi for up to two hours.
Your current library membership card is required to checkout a personal device for reading, watching videos or playing games.
