Sienna plays most of her sport with Finley-based clubs, including Little Athletics, Finley Squash Club, Finley netball, while also playing tennis with Cobram.
Sienna attended Finley Public School last year and represented Riverina four times for athletics, soccer, tennis and cross country.
She broke the school’s 12-years girls’ high jump record by 19cm — a record which stood for 40 years.
Sienna also holds the zone record for high jump and came third in high jump at the State NSW PSSA Championships.
She was fourth in Australia for 12-years girls high jump at School Sport Australia Championships.
Sienna is also an accomplished distance runner, winning the 12-years girls cross country at regional PSSA level.
Her dominance on the track helped her compete in Trans Tasman for Little Athletics, a competition for NSW and Auckland athletes in the Under-11 and Under-12 age groups.
Sienna received the Frank Lubrano trophy, awarded for the best team person.
She said it felt good to receive the Sportsperson of the Year and that much of her success was due to lots of training.
‘‘It would be nice to try and make the state or national levels again in athletics,’’ she said.
‘‘I won’t able able to go over to Auckland again because of my age, however there is a chance to play netball in England; I just have to convince mum and dad.’’
Sienna was the runner-up in the Finley Netball Club’s Under-13 best and fairest count and eighth in the Murray League Netball Under-13s count.
Her citation said she had a strong future.
‘‘The future is bright for this extraordinary young athlete, who has been recognised in testimonials as a fair and respectful player, and a courteous, thoughtful and willing sporting participant,’’ the citation read.
