Essential Energy restored power to 805 customers by 1.56pm following an unplanned power outage reported at 7.22am.
It is the second weekend in a row local Essential Energy crews were called out to reconnect local homes to the network.
Sunday’s outage came just a week after storms impacted more than 3300 customers across the region.
During the June 29 storm power was lost to 402 Conargo customers, 31 in Deniliquin and the 2875 customers in the Southern Riverina region.
The bulk of Southern Riverina customers affected were in Tocumwal (1625), with Finley (148) and Barooga (1062) also affected.
Essential Energy’s operations manager for the Murray region, Ian Armstrong, said network protection equipment activated on Sunday to isolate supply to the area after detecting a fault on the high voltage electricity network.
‘‘Local crews were immediately dispatched and identified equipment failure at the Deniliquin zone substation,’’ he said.
‘‘Necessary repairs were made to the network and supply was restored to all customers by 1.56pm.’’
