The Cats seniors outfit went into the game without regular full back William Robertson and it was Isaac Corvo who was given the job on leading goal kicker Darren Ewing.
Playing with more intensity around the midfield than in previous weeks, Frazer Neate and Benji Neal were in everything.

Lachlan Kerr was lively up forward and Harrison Kerr had a couple of opportunities early in the first quarter to goal through set shots, missing both attempts.

When a shot on goal from Matt Jackson fell short early in the second term, Tongala rebounded the length of the field with the ball ending up in the hands of Mackenzie Ryan who made no mistake.
Another goal shortly after to Ewing in general play and the Tongala team was starting to show why they are the dominate team in the league.
Injuries to Neate and Angus Robertson didn’t help the Cats cause and although Kerr and Jackson had kicked a goal each the margin was out to 52 points at half-time.
A seven-goal third term to Tongala put the game beyond doubt.
Corvo, Nick Robertson and Neal repelled many attacking moves.
The Finley team didn’t shirk the issue and managed to keep Tongala to three goals in the last stanza.

After a weekend off, Finley’s thirds side made the long trip to Tongala.
With eight lads pulling out between Thursday and Saturday a with a few others unavailable, the job was never gonna be easy.
The first quarter was a very fast start from the Cats with Harvey Sneddon snagging the first of the game with some great centre work from Harrison King.
It was goal for goal in the first term with Jonty King taking a set shot upon himself and slotting it with ease.
Reece played his best game of the season getting on the end of a sneaky goal to end the quarter. Finley 3.2-20 to Tongala 3.3-22.
The second quarter let Tongala kick away a bit with their midfielders utilising their skills when going inside 50.
The Cats held on a bit with harry Haynes getting a shot at goal and made no mistakes. Tongala led by eight at the half.
Roree Wallis played his best game for the year running all day on the wing and providing plenty of options and link up plays.
Tongala continued their momentum in the third, kicking four goals to Finley’s two.
Finley’s midfield saw some changes throughout the day with Patrick Waugh and Lenny Dattoli slotting in to give a different look, with Jake armer dominating down back with the help of Riley Sutton.
Jake and Pat ran off half back all day trying to provide some link up’s with Lenny, Kingy and Liam Rafferty who kicked one late in the third to give the cats some hope.
Going into the fourth quarter trailing by 21.
Early on in the fourth the Cats surged foward giving Reece and Lenny plenty of opportunity to put it through the big sticks.
Reece snagged two last quarter goals to Lenny’s one to bring it back to eight points.
The Cats had hope before giving away some silly free kicks to let Tongala put the game away.
Final score: Finley 9.6 (60) to Tongala 12.17 (79).
