Tocumwal reserves player Jay Buckley snaps for goals in their match on the weekend. Blighty were too strong for the Bloods this time.

Tocumwal U14's played a twilight game (after the senior game), this week and their excitement was evident. The team lead out by captain Tom Barker had smiles from beginning to end. The didn't let the crowd down, beating Blightly 125-0. Great job boys.

The road trip north saw Yarroweyah take on Jerilderie and we put on our best display of football for the year.

Before the game the vibes were good and we were switched on and ready to go.

The first quarter saw Mitch Macheda kick two classy goals while a few wasted opportunities saw us trailing by just five points at quarter-time.

Knowing we had most of the play in the first quarter we knew we had to make the most it in the second quarter, and that we did.

With Beau Quinane, Joey Cipriani and Harley Constable winning the clearances we hit the scoreboard multiple times through Andy Jones to be in front by a goal at half-time.

The third quarter didn’t start the way we intended with Jerilderie kicking the opening three goals and putting us on the back foot.

We regrouped and went goal-for-goal including two goals to Cam Isedale, a third to Macheda and one to Constable; the deficit was two goals at the final break.

We battled hard having multiple inside 50s but just couldn’t convert the crucial goals we needed to bridge the gap.

Best players were Harley Constable, Andy Jones, Joey Cipriani, Nick Macheda, Cam Isedale and Beau Quinane.

—Paul Massingham Yarroweyah senior playing coach
