Cobram's Esava Ratugolea made headlines in Geelong's two-point loss to Carlton on Saturday night, although not necessarily for good reasons.
Ratugolea, who finished the game with 12 disposals, six tackles and five hit-outs, inexplicably spoiled a Tom Hawkins set-shot from going over the line for a goal, a play former Port Adelaide legend Kane Cornes described as the dumbest thing he'd ever seen on the football field.
The Cats lost the match by two points.
Katamatite's Tom Clurey was involved in Port Adelaide's 29-point win against Fremantle on Sunday night.
Clurey had six touches, three marks and two inside 50s in the contest.
Port sits atop the table after three rounds, with Clurey among the side's better players in the round two resumption of the season.
The former Katamatite junior had 17 disposals and eight marks as the Power smashed Adelaide by 75 points.
Ratugolea's return to the field after the shutdown also went well as the Cats handed Hawthorn a 61-point drubbing.
Geelong will face Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday after Port Adelaide tackles West Coast at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night.
