Bowls is not back to normal just yet, but clubs can host restricted social bowls, limited to pairs and no more than 20 to a green.
The club has been able to do this on a Friday and will continue to do so at the normal time of 1.30 pm, but you must get your names in by noon Thursday to enable rinks and pairings to be worked out as the clubhouse cannot be used yet.
Gavan Cullen is not available to ring this week, so names in to Archie Ellis on 0403 990 825 by lunchtime Thursday.
It is imperative that if you say you are coming, you come, or at least give us notice as last minute withdrawals make it extremely difficult for the organisers.
As of Monday this week, we have 23 people down to play, so if you want to play a social game with no prize money and no entry fee there is an opening for 17 more bowlers to attend.
At times like this it is extremely important to stay up-to-date with the latest happenings, so all Barooga Sports members are encouraged to get team app installed on their phone or computer.
Most have a smart phone, so it is easy to install the app on your phone. Once signed up you will be kept up-to-date with all that is happening.
Once COVID-19 is over, you will be able to see the teams picked each week as well as pennant results and any events the club run, so please take the time to install the app. Go to your app store and search for Team App and install. Then in the team app you search for Barooga Sports Bowls Club and follow the instructions from there.
Once authorised you will be able to see all that is happening around the club with notices forwarded direct to your phone or computer.
If any members are having problems, contact Archie (0403 990 825) or Ruth (0400 566 227) and they will be happy to assist.
There has also been a new website created — www.baroogasports.clubs.bowlslink.com.au — which contains general information for the club available to the public and should also contain results of pennant and competitions this coming season, but it does not replace Team App.
