Pennant this week saw division two and four win on Saturday, but division one lost to Numurkah on a difficult green and in difficult weather but that is no excuse. Numurkah just played its green better.
Division three lost by four shots, which is disappointing, but no disgrace.
This week's games are the last game in the round and then bowlers start the second round the week after. At this stage of the year it is all looking good for most of the divisions to be playing finals.Trade day was played at Numurkah Golf in extremely hot conditions, so it was decided to play three games of eight ends and then go in for lunch.
Winners of the day were the team from Picola - Keith Berger, P Magill and Bruce Agnew, ahead of the Barooga team of Peter Russell, Ed Coulstock and John Sullivan. Best first game went to K Saunders, R. Smith and D. Collie, best second game went to Chris Thomas, Phil O'Dwyer and Barry Walker and best third game went to Ray Emerson, Peter Ware and Stuart Ralph. The jackpot did not go off.
Keith's Friday winners were Archie Ellis and Bill Hogg with +12. Runners-up were Peter Russell and Max Condron with 11. Winners of best first game were Helen Quinn and Jeff Slater with 6 and best second game went to Ken Newton and Fred Pinnuck with 13. The jackpot was not claimed and will be worth $187.85 this week.
Fifteen women enjoyed a great game of Scroungers Monday week ago. Ruth Burnett had the winning score.

The club's Christmas party is on December 15 at the club rooms. A fully catered dinner will be served, consisting of traditional Christmas roasts and veggies plus a choice of two sweets. All for $16 head to be paid to Liz Ewing before the night. The night will start at 6 pm with nibbles with dinner at 6.30 pm.
