In a battle of the Murray Valley Cricket Association premier division Tigers, Cobram was on top for all but the coin toss as it flexed its muscle superbly.
The visitors to the Cobram Showgrounds chose first use of the pitch after calling correctly at the toss, but could not get going with bat in hand.
Hugh Hyde (2-6), Jack Beasley (2-8) and Nic Hoban (2-13) were the pick of the bowlers for the home side as Katamatite's innings ended in the 39th over on just 85.
Wian Van Zyl (29) was the only batsman to fall for Cobram in the chase, with Lachie Hyde (28 not out) and James Daniel (18 not out) steering their side to victory within 19 overs.
● Barooga was able to move into second spot on the table after a hard-fought win against Nathalia, with the fixture going right down to the wire.
The Purples ground out 148 from their 45 overs at Barooga Recreation Reserve and had the Hawks in trouble at 8-128 in the chase with time running out.
But a daring 17 from 11 deliveries - including two sixes - from Zeke Bunge, coupled with an unbeaten 33 from Matt Jaensch, had Barooga lurch across the line for a two-wicket triumph with just four balls remaining in the match.
Jaensch had earlier led the way for the Hawks with the ball in taking 3-20, backed up well by Joel Cahir (2-19) and Riley Gow (2-32).
Phil Carroll (53) and Liam Evans (41) were able to get off the leash for Nathalia with bat in hand, but despite the bowling efforts of Luke Quinn (2-22), Evans (2-28) and Archie Congues (2-33) the total they helped set was not enough to defend.
● Cobram-Yarroweyah United snared its first premier division victory since February last year when it routed Tocumwal for just 113 on Saturday.
The combine had put up a score of 151 in its innings thanks to Kane Goldsworthy (51) and Harry Ukich (37) before producing a stellar bowling performance to defeat the hosts at Tocumwal Recreation Reserve.
Liam Benn's 3-13 led the way as Goldsworthy (2-8) and Jack Andrew (2-28) also claimed multiple wickets.
