Cobram Roar took on a tough opponent — Albury City.
The last encounter with City saw Cobram go down 6-2.
With City in third place on the ladder and Cobram in fifth, the pressure was on the boys to turn this around.
It was a great game with a huge improvement from the last time the sides played, in particular, that the side came back from a goal down and played right to the end of the game with 100 per cent commitment.
Roar came together as a team, something the side has been missing for much of the season.
Saif Albreheem was the standout performer scoring the only goal of the game for Cobram.

Under-14s
Albury City 3 d Cobram Roar 1
Cobram Roar came up against Albury City in a hard-fought match.
The first half was a fast-paced affair with the ball travelling from end-to-end multiple times.
The half-time break saw the scores locked at 1-1, with both goals coming from great headers.
Albury came out fast from the break and scored two quick goals.
Cobram regrouped and attacked the goals plenty of times, but was unable to hit the back of the net.
Well done to all the players, courageous in defeat, against a bigger and faster team.
Next week is the final game of the home and away season for the under-14s and the side takes on second-placed Wodonga Diamonds.

Under-14 girls
Albury City 1 d Cobram Roar 0
Cobram had a patch in the first half where players had a number of attacking opportunities, but the Albury goalkeeper was on the ball, denying the strikers from scoring.
While Roar was not overly troubled in the first half, City had a couple of chances to score before half-time.
The second half was very similar, but Albury City was attacking more and was eventually awarded a free kick just outside the box with five minutes to go.
City managed to score off the free kick and while Cobram tried to fight back, the side was unable to find the back of the net.

Under-13s
Albury City 1 lost to Cobram Roar 16
It was a very windy and chilly day at Jelbert Park on Sunday.
Luke Goodin opened the scoring, followed by Jake Kalz, who scored three, including a great header.
Jackson Koopman and Jake Brincut scored for Roar before half-time, the latter being a penalty shot.
Logan Stone scored five goals in the second half with Koopman netting another two with Kalz, Goodin and Tully Kerr picking up a goal each in the second half.
The team is 12 goals off scoring an incredible 200 for the season.

Under-12s
Albury City 0 lost to Cobram Roar 5
Cobram Roar has become league champions with two rounds remaining after defeating Albury City 5-0.
Captain Mikeal Artavilla-Bennett scored two goals, as did George Wiles with Sam Hurlston scoring the other.
It was a great team effort with every player playing their role.
