This year’s ride will be held April 2 and 3, covering 537km between Echuca and Port Fairy.
In previous years local M2M team has raised funds to purchase much needed equipment for the hospital.
From last year’s efforts so far, a princess chair has been purchased.
The chair is designed to provide mobility and comfort for elderly or those special need patients.
One of the most vital items purchased from the 2020 fundraiser was a portable oxygen concentrator valued at $4500, which is for use by patients in the community.
Deni Murray to Moyne team member Darcy Biggs this year’s aim is to beat the $15,000 which was raised last year, despite COVID interruptions.
‘‘Our goal every year is to raise more than $10,000 for Deni hospital, but it would be great to beat last year’s amount,’’ he said.
Next week’s fundraising event has free entry, but those attending are asked to dig deep and participate in the fundraisers on the night.
Mr Biggs encourages bidding on the silent auction, in particular.
‘‘There will be lots of goods and services available in the auction, so come along and support Deni hospital.
‘‘We will also have music from Anna Bowie, a bar and food trucks.
‘‘It should be a great night.’’
Everyone is encouraged to bring along a picnic rug or chair and help support Deni’s dedicated cycling team in their fundraising efforts.
If you are not able attend on the night but still wish to donate, scan the QR code on page four of today’s edition and follow the prompts.
