Goulburn Valley Libraries chief executive Kevin Preece expressed his regret at the closure.
“Our communities rely on us for their books, DVDs, social connections, access to the internet and much, much more,” he said.
“We are so disappointed for everyone who waited so long for us to re-open after the first COVID-19 shutdown.”
The mobile library is off the road again, despite just starting again to travel to small rural towns, a disappointment for people who have been patiently waiting for the return of the service.
Mr Preece said many services would still be operating still after the closure, particularly online.
“Our wonderful librarians will be working behind the scenes to keep the Click and Collect service going while we are shut down,” he said.

As libraries closes doors across the Goulburn Valley again, it’s a great time to learn about what services are accessible online.
A long with the large range of free eBooks, audiobooks and magazines that are available for adults and children, people can join online and access video streaming of movies and documentaries through the Kanopy streaming service.

Children don’t miss out either. There are plenty of stories on the StoryBox Library and child-friendly videos on Kanopy Kids, as well as an opportunity to learn coding with Busy Code.
Other services included within the online library membership are language learning and computer skills programs and an opportunity to do family research on ancestry.com
Goulburn Valley Libraries hope to re-open as soon as it possible, but in the meantime community members can get to know its other side – online.
Any items on loan are now not due back until September 20 and book chutes are still open for book drop off.
