The Courier editorial team is reporting for duty.
Led by Jessica Ball, the community can expect to see journalists James Bennett, Morgan Dyer, Liam Nash and Spencer Fowler Steen out and about covering local stories.
“The team is excited to engage with the community and delve deeper into issues that matter locally,” Ms Ball said.
“We want to hear from you. Don't be afraid to pop into the office or get in contact if you or someone you know has a story to tell.”
Growing up on the land in south west Victoria, Ms Ball started her career as sports reporter at the Benalla Ensign before moving to the Shepparton News as features writer and was promoted to features and special publications editorial co-ordinator in 2018.
With a passion for story telling, Richmond Tigers and food, Ms Ball is always up for a chat.
Experienced council reporter James Bennett got his start at the Southern Riverina News and Deniliquin Pastoral Times.
Recently graduating from her cadetship, Morgan Dyer grew up in a regional area and finds herself feeling at home when working in Cobram.
With an interest in regional news and the important role it plays in a community, Miss Dyer is excited to expand her journalism career and is open to all suggestions, ideas or feedback.
The best way to get her attention is to strike up a conversation about food, footy or fashion.
Liam Nash joined the News team 15 months ago and after a stint reporting for the Courier last year is looking forward to being apart of the hard-working Aussie town again.
The sports tragic understands the vital role it plays in Cobram-Barooga.
Mr Nash is a Kiwi but try not to hold that against him and with a lack of rugby going around he has tied his alliances to the Cobram Tigers.
While Spencer Fowler Steen has a background in science – neuroscience to be specific, he chose to become a journalist.
With a love of writing profiles, features and anything with a community focus, the Courier is the perfect destination for Mr Fowler Steen.
When he is not in the office, visiting family and friends or jogging around town like a madman.
