NCN Heath chief executive Jacque Phillips said the Numurkah and Cobram hospitals would be running community testing stations from Wednesday, June 24, while Nathalia and Yarrawonga were offering COVID-19 swabbing by appointment.
“The four hospitals in the Moira Shire are working to find and treat any cases of COVID-19 that could lead to community transmission or outbreak,” Ms Phillips said.
“Testing will be available to people who are showing symptoms, however mild, of COVID-19 including fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or runny nose.”
Ms Phillips said the free test took about five minutes and required at least one form of identification.
After the test you must return home immediately to remain in self-isolation until results are received.
Testing can be accessed at:● Numurkah hospital, Monday to Friday, 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm, phone 5862 0555.● Cobram hospital, entry via the corner of Broadway and Charles St, Monday to Friday, 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm, phone 5871 0777.● Nathalia hospital, by appointment only, phone 5866 9444.● Yarrawonga Health, seven days a week, by appointment, phone 5743 8132.
