But Moira Arts & Culture Inc. has a solution - sit back and watch the Essential Theatre production of William Shakespeare's famous tragedy MacBeth, also known as the Scottish Play.
Performed at the Byramine Homestead, the cast of professional actors will immerse you in the thrilling and journey of Macbeth, as the sun sets, the dark night sets in and the witches come out to play.
Tempted by the prophecies of three mysterious witches and, encouraged by his power hungry wife, Macbeth will do anything to be King.
He is quickly lead into a nightmarish world of evil and deceit as he tries to murder his way to the throne of Scotland.
Shakespeare’s rousing tragedy is filled with ferocious battles, supernatural horrors, stunning language, and some of the Bard’s most vivid characters.
It's the fifth Shakespeare brought to the Moira Shire, with previous performances including Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night and last year's Midsummer Night's Dream.
Director Alister Smith makes his debut with Essential Theatre and will be joined by costume designer Chloe Greaves.
