With an array of attractions, including returning favourites such as Professor Wallace with his puppet show, Irene Hemsworth’s cartoon portraits and the Old Kentucky animal nursery, there will be no shortage of activities to entertain the entire family.
Some of the new events at this year’s show, which are sure to please the crowd, include Luke’s Reptile Kingdom from Queensland, Peter Hodge with his camel rides, as well as plenty of other things to try without charge after paying the gate fee.
After last year’s show garnered plenty of attention from locals, Cobram Agricultural Show committee president Karen Creighton was ambitious that this year’s event would hold a similar type of buzz.
“As far as country shows go, we have got a very wide range of rides to keep the thrillseekers happy,” she said.
“It is a family-friendly event and we try to have as many free events as possible as we know times are tough.
“I would like to thank the Cobram community, their support of the show is invaluable to us.”
Back for another year are the Truck Show and Shine, the all-inclusive arts and crafts pavilion and a number of eye-catching side shows guaranteed to keep onlookers enthralled.
The holy grail of racing - the coveted Lexus Melbourne Cup - will also be on display at the show and was available for viewing and picture from 10 am to 3.30 pm on the Saturday.
With the Cobram Show the only place to see the cop before it leaves town, do not miss the opportunity.
