IT HAS been a successful 12 months for local police and youth after Kyabram Blue Light saw its 1000th attendee since its inception.
More than 150 people turned up on Friday night at P-12 for a fun and safe night of prizes and a surprise visit from Kyabram Fire Brigade Captain Mick Crompton giving out lolly bags.
Kyabram Constable Mitchell Bull said the program had forged healthy relationships between police and local youth in the area, with many now on a first-name basis.
“We're really happy with the feedback from kids and parents since we started the program,” Const Bull said.
“We're not the big scary guys that the movies make us out to be and it's great to have a working relationship with the younger people of Ky.”
