Heathcote cricket just weeks away

By Andrew Johnston

HEATHCOTE will begin its Northern United Cricket Association season on October 12 on the road against Colbinabbin.

The Saints missed the finals in the 2018-19 season, just 12 months after a stunning late season run saw them claim the competition's premiership in 2017-18.

This season the Saints will be on the hunt for a top four finish in the six-team competition, as they look to make a premiership stand.

The team will play its opening home game on October 19 when they take on Bagshot at Barrack Reserve.

The team will play through until December 21, before briefly breaking for Christmas.

Action resumes on January 11, with the final round of regular season play seeing the Saints face Goornong at Barrack Reserve on February 8.

Play will continue in the competition until the grand final on February 29.
