A surprise winner emerged at the men's stroke Monthly Medal with newcomer Jacob Brennan taking the win on Sunday.
In his third round of golf ever, Brennan finished with 64 net to claim the medal and the Division Four win, while Ed Brown claimed the gross win with 98.
Division One gross winner Simon Noggin with 73 while net winner was Peter Jaeger (67).
Division Two saw Bret Shaw claim the gross win with 84, as well as the net win on 68.
John Gradie was Division Three gross winner and net winner was Neville Attrill.
NTPs went to Ian McFarlane 2nd, Adam Purtill 18th.
Sunday also saw 16 ladies playing stroke with Nola Stacey the winner with 75 net, runner-up was Janine Keppel Clark with 76.
NTP went to Lynne Parry 2nd.
Mens Gold was Douglas McClelland 73,, Runner up Graeme Sharp 78..
Tuesday, March 3 saw the ladies playing 4BBB stableford multiplier.
Winners were Robyn Taverna and Margaret Fergeus on 87 points. Runners-up were Cherryl Rossborough and Jan Taylor 86.
NTPs went to Robyn Benbow and Patricia Small 2nd, Carol lrvine and Beverley Campbell 8th, Jill Collins and Dianne Dungan 17th, Petra Wilmot and Ross Seymour Pro Pin $63.
Due to heavy rain for most of the day, a small field played stableford on Wendesday.
Division One went to Michael Cooper with 39 points, followed by Stephen Piggott who had 37.
Division Two was won by Bruce Hadley with 35 on countback from John Carroll.
NTPs went to Phillip Boulton 8th, John Henry 14th. Adam Purtill Pro Pin $39.
Men's stableford was played Saturday with Ross Stephens the Division One winner with 39 points, runner-up was Norm Brosnan 37.
NTPs went to Ray McConnell 2nd, Paul Haley 17th, Michael Cooper Eagles Nest Cap 3rd.
Saturday was also the Global Accreditation Services mixed foursomes round.
The winners were J and O Thompson 70.
Men's stableford was played on Monday with 31 members taking part.
Murray Chapman was victorious in Division One with 40 points, runner-up was Nathan Mathews with 35.
Division Two went to David Follett (37) on countback from Jeffrey Innes with 37.
NTP,s went to Mark O'Brien 2nd, Shane Halloran 17th.
Finley Ladies
With inclement weather forecast for Wednesday and Thursday last week, the Finley Ladies Opening Day adjourned to the 19th hole.
With the welcome rain falling, the ladies had a meeting and then lunch provided by members.
There will be plenty of action for the ladies this week with the Ladies Open on this Friday.
Saturday will see a mixed 4BBB stableford, including Round 1 Wilson Cup) at 11.30am for midday start, before an 18 hole stableford comp on Sunday.
Finley
Rain, welcomed by many, brought about the abandonment of competition golf on Wednesday and Thursday.
Saturday was Opening Day for the 2020 season when the R & K Klemke mixed 4BBB stableford event being played with a large field of players turning out.
Zac Walsh (Jerilderie) and Sharon Pyle, after countback, at 42 points, were winners from Paul Pinnuck and Sue Simpson.
NTP on the 13th went to Beth White and on the 18th Andrew Harding.
Ball competition winners were Leo McNamara and Kellie White and Bill Judd and Kaye Sutton with 41, along with Andrew and Anne Harding, Trevor and Kim McCaw and Chick Braybon and Mary Polkinghorne who all had 40.
The NAGA trophy was collected by Beau Makkinga and Marian Ayres.
On Sunday, the Billabong Freight stroke event was played and saw Jason Pyle card 68 net to claim the men’s trophy whilst Kellie White on 68 Net took out the ladies trophy.
Sharon Sharon Pyle’s 26 putts gave her the ladies putting trophy.
NTP on the 18th went to Grant Wilson.
Ball competition winners were Dale Pyke (69), Rob Klemke (71), Leo McNamara (74), Heather Daniel (75) and Sharon Pyle (75).
Berrigan
Friday's winner was Ged Towler and Saturday's winner was Cody Heazlewood.
It was good to see many new faces playing on Saturday.
The Berrigan men's and ladies golf has kicked off the 2020 season.
Ladies play on Wednesdays with tee off at 9.30am. All levels of experience welcome.
The men's season has also started and as always the club is always looking for new players.
A new monthly comp will be Trade Day 4BBB. Arrange your own partners for this event.
The first Trade Day will be sponsored by Paul Barrett Tyre Service.
There will be bar snacks at the conclusion of the round and the club would love to see support from all levels and ages for these Trade Days.
