It was as part of the 19th annual Principal For A Day event, which aims to increase understanding and awareness between schools and the wider community.
Benalla Early Childhood Program One Of The Best
The program gives business and community leaders first-hand experience of a ‘day in the life’ of a Victorian government school principal.
Tony Clark, executive principal at Benalla P-12 College, said the event provides benefits for schools, business and community leaders while increasing opportunities for schools and the community to work together in mutually beneficial ways.
“We were excited to welcome Sally to our school and enjoyed exchanging ideas, visiting classes, talking to students, meeting staff and taking part in ‘normal’ daily activities,” Mr Clark said.

Ms Mathesonsaid the opportunity offered a new perspective on the valuable work of schools.
“Being involved in the Principal for a Day program offered an insight into the future of education,” she said.

“The day enabled us to work together, share skills and build on our ongoing relationship.”
