Vastly experienced local school teacher Cindy Latessa is now acting principal at Dookie Primary School for 2019.
In a career spanning 35 years, Ms Latessa’s teaching stints include Tungamah Primary School, Yarrawonga Primary School and Yarrawonga Secondary College and, for the past four years, at Dookie.
In the three-classroom, three-teacher, some 50 students school, she will be a teaching principal, in direct charge of Years 4, 5 and 6 classes.
“We specialize in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a Stephanie Alexander kitchen garden” the 59-year-old acting principal from Mulwala told the Yarrawonga Chronicle.
“We’re a true country school, welcoming people from everywhere. We have great staff and facilities.”
