The weather was not as kind as previous years for the fifth Yarrawonga Mulwala Kids Festival, however, most of the kids participating did not seem to notice.
Yarrawonga Mulwala Visitor Information Centre Executive Officer Noel Wright said he must commend the businesses who stepped up and provided an offering toward another successful event in Yarrawonga Mulwala.
“We had a number of first time businesses provide entertainment and offerings and many long term consistent supporters who backed up on previous years offerings,” Mr Wright said.
“There were plenty of activities enjoyed through the week including; plenty of rides at Tunzafun, open day at Yarrawonga SES, Kids Neon Dance Parties and school holiday junior golf at YMGCR, dance workshops and talent quest at ClubMulwala, holiday activities at Byramine Homestead, potions, spells, games and treats at Watts Café Bundalong, cookie and cupcake decorating at Sebel Yarrawonga, NAIDOC Week and rhyme and story time at the Yarrawonga Library, crystal class at In Devine Time, a kids open play and family support expo at Tame Café and kids meal deals at a number of venues.
“It is important to the success of our community, particularly in the cooler months, for businesses to be proactive in the pursuit of business.
“Yarrawonga Mulwala Visitor Information Centre work hard to provide the platform for this event and it is pleasing for us to see increased business participation.
“We would encourage all business to add something to the 2024 event so we can all achieve better social and economic outcomes for our communities wellbeing.”
