Works starts at community complex

By Cobram Courier

Work on the new community complex at Apex Reserve has started with half of the concrete slab laid for the facility.

When finished, the building will be the long-awaited home to Cobram Roar and Cobram Junior Soccer Association.

‘‘We have talked about it for years and to finally see it begin is incredible,’’ Roar president Manny Artavilla said.

‘‘You don’t believe it until you see it and now it has started, you have to pinch yourself.

‘‘Half the slab has been laid and the second half will hopefully be laid in the next couple of weeks.’’

●The club still needs support for what would be the home of the sport in Cobram. If you wish to contribute, contact Manny Artavilla on 0412334359. Tax-deductible donations can also be made through the Australian Sports Foundation at asf.org.au/projects/cobram-roar-fc
