THE annual State Creative Arts Exhibition will make its way to Kyabram on August 2 and 3, 2019.
And the funds to make it happen are now available, thanks to Campaspe Shire.
The CWA Goulburn Valley West branch received a $5000 boost as part of the shire’s community grants program.
With CWA Victoria announcing the state exhibition will be held at the Kyabram Town Hall for the first time, preparations will now begin for the big day.
These CWA exhibitions are held annually around the state, giving groups and branches an opportunity to showcase their part of Victoria.
The Goulburn Valley was identified as this year’s target region and Kyabram’s Town Hall met all of the criteria to stage the event.
CWA Goulburn Valley West president Lyn Trezise said there was a huge expense in getting the exhibition to the town hall.
“We are very grateful for the funding because it means a lot more of our members can attend. Many can’t go when it’s a long way from home,” she said.
“It also means more of our members can put items in the exhibition for display and judging.
“People from all over the state come to these exhibitions. It’s a great thing for our town for both lovers of the exhibitions and the businesses that will benefit from having more people in town.”
