If it's not the weather, it is COVID-19. Sixteen brave souls fronted on Friday for Keith's Friday social bowls on a rather cold July day.
Winners of the day were Karen Bruce and Gavan Cullin with +18, ahead of runners-up with 6 Bob Adams and Des Toohey.
Best first game winners were John Bruce and Bill Hoog with 10 and best second game winners, with 9, were Ken Newton and Jan Cullin. Congratulations to the winners.
The jackpot did not go off and will be worth $180 this Friday. Names in by 12.30 pm please.
Cobram-Barooga RSL has forwarded the club an invite for members to attend a session looking at ageing.
As we, or our loved ones, age and experience difficulties with everyday living in our homes we need to know what options for assistance and care are available.
It is never too early to have conversations about this important subject so that we are prepared when decisions have to be made.
People of all ages in our community are invited to a free, no obligation information session on Monday, August 9, at 1.30 pm at Cobram Bowling Club.
Guest speakers Kade Beasley and Michelle Wyatt will address both the financial and care questions and options.
Even if you are already receiving assistance in your home, are you aware of the decisions that need to be made should there come a time when you may need to relocate from your home?
This event is open to everyone in our community. For catering purposes, please RSVP before Friday, August 6, to cobrambarooga.rsl@gmail.com or call 0407 040 208.
