Ex-Treasury head joins Judo board

By AAP Newswire

Former federal Treasury secretary John Fraser has been appointed to the board of lender Judo Capital.

Mr Fraser will join the Melbourne-based SME lender as a non-executive director from October 1, two months after leaving Treasury at the end of July.

He spent three years as the nation's chief economic bureaucrat after being hired by then-Prime Minister Tony Abbott in 2015.

Judo, which launched in March after raising $140 million in capital, was co-founded by former National Australia Bank business banking head Joseph Healy.

Judo has applied for a full banking licence from regulator APRA.
