If you are searching for a treasure trove of items which need to be seen to be believed, then Cobram Historical Society’s annual Antique and Collectables Fair is the place to visit.
On Saturday and Sunday , antique dealers from Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne, as well as the local region, will converge on Cobram Civic Centre with a raft of quality collectables.
Among the rare collectables are a vintage Japanese Serafuku uniform, a late Victorian child’s rocking chair and a Swedish Ericsson wall phone.
The fair has been a staple on the Cobram events calendar. This year will mark the 34th instalment of the popular two-day extravaganza.
Society president Pat Kerr said with Shepparton Fair cancelled, the event was the biggest and best of its kind in the region.
‘‘We call it country Victoria’s best fair. There will be fabulous jewellery and fantastic linen available, plus countless other items,’’ she said.
