Strathmerton took on Jerilderie in a tough, high-intensity game.
Strathmerton’s girls kept the intensity up for the whole four quarters and gave it their all. The talk and belief in one another is really starting to show and is fantastic.
The scores were close all game but the last quarter was where the players found their groove and put their foot down, with some excellent passages of play.
The defenders created numerous turnovers and the goalers didn’t let them down, converting everything to take a very well-deserved 20-goal win.

Strathmerton lt Jerilderie 44-46
It was a game the players would like to forget, but definitely one they can learn from.
Strathmerton started off slowly and didn’t start to play its own game until the last quarter, when it was able to fight back and lessen the margin but unfortunately just missed out on coming away with the win.
All credit to Jerilderie, who was strong in the air and accurate in goals.
Strathmerton needs to regroup and get back to playing some team netball, trusting one another and backing each other up.

Strathmerton enjoyed a great, high intensity game against Jerilderie.
The players all gave 100 per cent for the whole four quarters.
Massive thanks to the C-reserve girls who benched and played.
Brooke was awesome in the centre, getting touches here, there and everywhere.
The one-on-one pressure down the court was amazing.

C-reserve showed its strength this week with a strong win over Jerilderie.
There was excellent play throughout the game, with some great passages down the court.
Pocket-rocket Aimee made some amazing intercepts and was pivotal in feeding the ball into the ring.
Everyone backed each other 110 per cent, with great communication down the court.

Strathmerton d Jerilderie 37-28
This was always going to be a tough match.
In the first quarter the girls struggled to find their flow and found themselves down by three at quarter-time.
A few changes were made and this set the girls up for a game-winning second quarter.
The standard of netball that was on display by these girls was amazing. The players took their foot off the pedal in the second half but walked away with a good win.
The talking and encouragement throughout the match was a credit to all girls.

Jerilderie’s height made it tough work for Strathmerton’s defence, but the Bulldogs stood tall for a hard-fought win.
The defensive pressure all over the court was sensational and created many turnovers.
The first and last quarters were outstanding and tough to fault.
Well done, girls. Keep up the spectacular work.
