Mivo Park Medical Clinic is expanding the services it offers Cobram and community – with two new doctors starting soon and a podiatrist recently joining the team.
Dr Don Yapa said the clinic already delivered a range of medical services to provide the region with a comprehensive care regime.
●chronic disease management;
●cervical cancer screening;
●skin cancer treatment;
●minor surgical procedures;
●treatment for work-related injuries;
●mental health management; and
●men’s and women’s health checks.
‘‘In addition, we have developed a range of allied and ancillary health services that we will be expanding in the near future,’’ Dr Yapa said.
‘‘Our current services are psychology and counselling with Peter Powles, audiology through Hearing Life, our pathology partnership with Goulburn Valley Pathology and ... podiatry with Scott Aldred, The Travelling Podiatrist.
‘‘We are excited at the prospect of having our new doctors in the next few months.
‘‘Once they are settled we will be hoping to expand our practice hours, including weekends.
‘‘We are planning to establish Saturday skin cancer screening and minor procedure clinics.’’
Dr Yapa said once the clinic hours extended and with a larger team of doctors, Mivo Park Medical Clinic would deliver a range of cutting-edge care and services in Cobram.
‘‘It is our commitment to ensure our patients receive the best possible general medical care and advice in Cobram and our plans for the next few months are part of that,’’ Dr Yapa said.
