The Moira Shire Arts and Culture Inc. has kicked off its production year in style with a head-turning performance of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.

The play was performed on the beautiful lawns of Byramine Homestead early last month, when more than 160 people turned out to enjoy a gripping performance in the outdoors by Essential Theatre.

The performance forms part of the Essential Theatre’s regional tour.

Guests were graced with a glorious night on the grass to watch a memorable performance, with many people coming equipped with their own deck chairs and blankets.

Twelfth Night tells the story of Viola, who finds herself washed ashore after a raging shipwreck. Separated from her twin brother Sebastian, Viola finds herself alone on the beach Illyria. She immerses herself into the new land in order to survive.
