The Rotary Club of Numurkah’s 38th annual art and craft exhibition has received excellent entries in the art, photographic and craft sections.
Entries have been received from district artists as well as artists throughout Victoria, South Australia, NSW and Queensland.
The exhibition will open at 7pm Friday. It will then be on show from 10am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday and 10am to 4pm Monday.
The annual exhibition has raised more than $247000 for local charities in its time, thanks to the generous support of exhibitors, sponsors and the community.
Regarded as one of the best art exhibitions in regional Victoria, this year’s display will be hoping to live up to its own lofty expectations once again.
The show will feature 20 awards with prize money totaling $10000. Judge Ted Dansey will select the best in show entry and runner-up, best in oil, watercolour and pastel and regional artist.
The awards are non-acquisitive and are available for a sponsor’s award or purchase.
Another 10 awards are sponsored awards valued between $300 and $2000 and winners will be selected by the sponsor.

Member for Shepparton Suzanna Sheed will officially open the art and craft exhibition at 8.30pm Friday.
A feature of the opening night will be a wine and cheese tasting, courtesy of Monichino Wines.
Musical entertainment will be provided by singer, songwriter Jessica Lorraine.
Patrons are invited to cast their vote for their favourite art or craftwork as part of the people’s choice award.
This award has proved popular since its introduction, with $100 awarded to the winning artist.
