Cobram Ignite Life Church is changing its meeting time.
As of this weekend, Sunday services will move to 10am.
The church is an offshoot of Yarrawonga Ignite Life Church, a member of Australian Christian Churches (ACC) and is under the leadership of senior pastors Keith and Peka Walters.
The Cobram congregation has been meeting at 4.30pm each Sunday to enable support from Yarrawonga, but it has become apparent a more family-friendly time is needed, as children are usually encouraged to go to bed early on Sunday nights to be prepared for school the next day.
Campus pastor Vivien McPherson said she was keen to enable all age groups to access the truth about Jesus Christ and experience the healing and freedom from anxiety and depression that came through the power of his name.
The title Ignite Life is intended to express the belief that life is meant to be full, positive and fun and, for those willing to learn, God is able to help us overcome life’s difficulties.
A number of activities are run through the church. Rangers is a weekly meeting which aims to mentally, physically, spiritually and socially develop children aged five to 15 as leaders through a range of programs including outdoor and bush craft activities.
Bible studies are run weekly and Christian counselling with a qualified therapist is available.
