Murray Regional Tourism (MRT) has launched a new corporate website to help tourism industry stakeholders further promote the Murray region as a mecca for local, national and international tourists.

Murray Regional Tourism (MRT) has launched a new corporate website to help tourism industry stakeholders further promote the Murray region as a mecca for local, national and international tourists.

MRT chair Wendy Greiner said the new web platform offered additional support to tourism operators to enhance their offerings and further promote the uniqueness of the Murray River region.

‘‘We have been providing support and training to MRT operators for many years and this new platform provides a one-stop shop for industry stakeholders and allows us to extend our support even further,’’ Ms Greiner said.

She said training for Murray River region tourism stakeholders was a major focus for MRT and providing easy access to information was integral to the strength and growth of the region.

‘‘One of our commitments to our stakeholders is to listen to their needs and provide support, advice and effective tools to further grow tourism in the region ... and the new website can do this,’’ Ms Greiner said.

‘‘The platform provides a professional and central hub of information for the industry to access information if and when it is required, and enables MRT to share information and improve collaboration across the region.’’
