Goulburn-Murray Water has extended the deadline for expressions of interest from its customers, communities and stakeholders to help progress key projects from its strategic plan development.

Goulburn-Murray Water has extended the deadline for expressions of interest from its customers, communities and stakeholders to help progress key projects from its strategic plan development.

G-MW’s role is to efficiently manage, store and deliver water to more than 21000 active customers involved in a diverse range of enterprises and interests across northern Victoria.

‘‘We are in a challenging and changing environment that is set to continue in coming years, with changing climate and international markets impacting on our customers and G-MW,’’ managing director Pat Lennon said.

Mr Lennon said G-MW had developed and was now implementing its strategic plan in response to these challenges, to ensure G-MW remained sustainable now and into the foreseeable future.

This includes ensuring water is delivered to customers at an affordable price and that deliveries are meeting expected service standards.

To further that work, G-MW is calling for expressions of interest to several important projects: the development of a 25-year Goulburn Murray Irrigation District Asset Strategy and the development of a Tariff and Pricing Review.

The original deadline for expressions of interest of Friday, November 3 has been extended by two weeks.

Interested customers, stakeholders and members of the community now have until Friday, November 17 to nominate for these important projects.

Applicants are required to fill out an expression of interest application form addressing selection criteria which includes: a sound understanding of the needs of customers within G-MW’s area of operations; an ability to represent a range of views to the working group; a demonstrated understanding of G-MW’s operations; an understanding and ability to objectively discuss the relationship between customer service levels and asset infrastructure costs; and interest in encouraging investment in the G-MW region.

●Application forms, and the terms of reference for the working groups, can be found at the ‘join a working group’ link on the G-MW website at: www.gmwater.com.au or by phoning 1800013357.

●Expressions of interest must be received by 4.45pm on Friday, November 17, and can be sent to: Daniel Irwin, Goulburn-Murray Water, PO Box 165, Tatura, 3616.

Or they can be emailed to: [email protected] or hand-delivered to 40 Casey St, Tatura.

G-MW will acknowledge the receipt of applications and will notify all applicants of the outcome before Friday, December 15.
