Australian musician Jo Jo Smith is hitting the road with friends Lucie Thorne and Hamish Stuart to mark her 50th year in the industry.
Their extensive national tour playing dozens of their favourite intimate venues across every state and territory comes to The G.R.A.I.N. Store in Nathalia on Sunday, October 29.
Originally from New Zealand, Jo Jo has lived in numerous places but is now settled in Violet Town in regional Victoria, which makes her one of the region’s little known musical legends.
The concert at The G.R.A.I.N. Store is the final of their Spring Performance Program, which has been funded by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.
Project producer Ken Wong is thrilled to be presenting the 50th Anniversary Concert Tour to local audiences.
‘‘I had heard of Jo Jo but had no idea what an incredible contribution she has made to the Australian music industry for over 50 years,’’ Ken said.
‘‘We were approached by Lucie Thorne last year when she was looking for a venue in our area, saying she had heard good things from musician friends about The G.R.A.I.N. Store.’’
