School holidays are a lovely chance to rest and catch up on things to be done.
While our students are no doubt enjoying their break from study we are continuing to offer our normal Centrelink and community facilities.
It’s a quieter time but a good opportunity to plan for the coming term and of course, new year.
Our CGEA class created a wonderful lunch for special guests at the end of term three, working under the guidance of a qualified chef.
The students produced a delicious lunch of chicken spring rolls, thai beef salad and sticky date pudding — no-one went away hungry! The students did a great job and are to be congratulated on their service and cooking skills.
While we are starting to wrap up the year, we still have a number of training opportunities coming up.
Hygiene for Food Handlers, RSA, First Aid and Responsible Gambling Services training will be run in October and November.
These courses are very popular and fill quickly at this time of year, so if you are interested call us soon to register.
Our Cyber Seniors class will be starting again on Friday afternoons after the school holiday break and we also have another Community Lunch coming up on Friday, October 6.
Look out too, for a free information session regarding powers of attorney on Friday, November 3 at 10am — give us a call to register.
And on Thursday, October 19 there’s a free afternoon tea to celebrate Seniors’ Week.
There is lots on!
Just give us a call on 58722224 if you would like more information or to register for any of these events or training.
