Students show their work

July 07, 2017

Young at art: St Mary of the Angels students Charlotte Reilly and Hannah Riseborough from Cobram, whose works are included in the Young at Art Exhibition currently on display throughout May.

Students from across the region were showcased in the Young At Art exhibition at the Nathalia G.R.A.I.N. Store last month.

The exhibition, supported by Moira Shire Council, provided talented art students the opportunity to develop and exhibit their own pieces across mediums such as printmaking, drawing, sculpture, photography, painting and multi-media.

St Mary of the Angels art teacher Anne Berend said it was a wonderful opportunity for students to not only exhibit their works, but also to receive public recognition for their creativity and artistic talents.

‘‘We’re very grateful to the G.R.A.I.N. Store as well as the Moira Shire Council for providing this platform for our students,’’ Ms Berend said.

Curator Ken Wong said the G.R.A.I.N. Store was extremely proud to present the third annual exhibition of secondary school student art from across Moira Shire, with 50 students from Year 9 to 12 taking part.
