Hundreds of years of combined volunteer service to the Country Fire Authority has been recognised for a local brigade.
The Cobram East and Boosey Creek brigade recognised the dedication of several of its volunteers at a presentation of service awards on June 1.
Long-serving member John Lazzarotto received a 55-year medal and Max Grinter a 50-year medal.
Receiving a 45-year medal was Mervyn Powles, with Graham Goldman receiving one for 40 years and Gary Bordignon, Andrew Goldman and John Harris for 30 years.
Recognised for 25 years’ service was Christine Grinter, Richard Lazzarotto and Jack Tynan, and for 20 years’ service was Bill Harris, Ross Luckies and Simone Tynan.
Receiving a medal for 15 years’ service was Damian Van de Berg and Ben Lazzarotto, for 10 years’ service was Mick Levett and Kristel Lazzarotto and receiving a five-year certificate was Jeff Goldman.
The awards were presented by CFA District 22 operations manager Peter Bell.
