Cobram golfer Caleb Bovalina captained his team to a history-making pennant win on May 21.
Bovalina captained the Commonwealth Golf Club’s under-24 Colts team to not only victory, but also etched their names in the history books.
In the 118th year of Metropolitan pennant, Commonwealth Golf Club did what no other club has done before, winning all three division one flags: men’s, women’s and Colts.
The whole contest against Woodlands Golf Club was level and only his match remained.
Bovalina was told on the 15th tee what the situation was and he knew it all came down to his match.
Not only did he put up a fight, he was able to win the next three holes and win his match, which secured the pennant for the Commonwealth Golf Club.
