Pounding the pavement: Shiloh Kennedy.

Sprint: Taj Swoffer and Noah Harris.

Students from Cobram Anglican Grammar took to the tack under clear, sunny skies for their annual cross-country event earlier this month.

In a hotly-contested event, it was Cowell house that scraped home by the narrowest of margins from Farrer, with Stanyer rounding off the team placings.

Although there was a changing of the guard, only 12 points separated first from third, a testament to the great participation of the students in the intra-school house competition, the school said.

The age group champions were: Noah Harris, Shannon Wenzke, Oscar Mackay, James Curtin, Jye Ellis, Thomas Backhouse, Harry Paterson, Sonny Rowe, Isaiah Benson, Brody Mazzeo, Archie Paterson, Lillian Dunn, Manbir Randhawa, Emily Power, Lauren White, Emma Nolan, Belle Dunn, Keeley O’Dwyer, Jade Backhouse, Grace Welch, Ruby O’Kane and Phoebe Curtis.
