A golfing gift for Ironman for Noah

More than $1000 has been raised in support of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and charity River’s Gift at a special Slomen day at Cobram Barooga Golf Club on Sunday.

The River’s Gift Slomen raised money for Ironman for Noah, being undertaken by Cobram’s Adrian Hayward.

Thirty-five golfers teed-off at 7am and raised $1050, including $650 from a raffle.

The A-grade winner was Max Steward and runner-up was Bruce Haley, while the B-grade winner was Max Harrison and the runner-up was Colin Smith.

Ironman for Noah organisers thanked the Slomen committee for organising the day, and to the day’s major sponsor, Carlton United Brewery representative Matt Ross-Soden.

They also thanked the many local businesses who donated raffle prizes.
