The St Margaret’s Ladies Guild held its annual high tea on Thursday afternoon at the Cobram Anglican Church hall.

A broad cross-section of the community attended, including groups from Oasis and Green Palms Villages, Probus and Cobram Barooga Red Hatters.

It was a grand opportunity to go back in time to yesteryear and reminisce, with tables ornately laid out with settings of fine china for the sumptuous high tea.

It was a grand afternoon, with lively conversation, entertainment by vocalists Grace Scolyer and Carol Byrnes, poetry reading and a quiz presented by president Joan Smith.

To cap the afternoon off, a mouth-watering high tea was served, including a variety of petite cakes and ribbon sandwiches.
