After months of hard work, anticipation and excitement, a tight-knit group of St Mary of the Angels students shone during one of the first of this season’s Debutante Balls held in Cobram recently.

The debutantes and partners presented poised and elegant, full of smiles and well prepared to dance the night away and make their families proud.

The theme of this year’s ball was Under the Stars, and the school’s dedicated Parents and Friends Committee, together with trainer Vicki Ackers, did a wonderful job in providing a platform for the young debutantes to shine.

St Mary of the Angels principal Matt Carver said the entire school community, family and friends were extremely proud of the dedication and effort of this year’s young debutantes.

‘‘They were a credit to their families and to our school and greater community and above all, they were a credit to themselves,’’ he said.
