Barooga Lions Club’s first debutante ball for the year was held at Barooga Sports Club on Friday, March 24, with 11 gorgeous debutantes and their handsome partners, led by flower girl Sienna Bale and page boy Tyler Holt.

The stage was decorated in a brilliant blue that was matched by the debutantes’ flower bouquets and their partners’ ties.

The debutantes wore beautiful gowns complemented by their partners in tails.

Mike Dooley was the master of ceremonies, with music by Scott and Amanda.

The party was received by Lions 201V6 district governor Peter Poels, who gave a well-received speech highlighting commitment and experience gained by being part of a debutante ball.

Ella Goldsmith, with support from partner Jordan Cook, gave an outstanding speech outlining the pleasure they had in participating, the training experience leading up to the ball, speaking in public and their hope that their studies will lead them all to a successful future and a great friendship with their debutante party.

Speeches were also made by Barooga Lions Club president Linda Ryder, ball co-ordinator Jean Dodd and dance trainer Vicki Ackers, who all praised the commitment and dedication shown by the party and wished them a successful and happy future.

Annie Spencer and partner Zavier Woodhead cut the cake, and Bethany Bale and partner Sebastian Moore presented gifts to the official party.
