Poker run to help others

April 26, 2017

Special cause: Boosey Creek Club members Rossco McCartney and Larry Roney with Rob's wife Judi Foster and palliative care representative Wendy Ross.

On April 1, the Boosey Creek Club of Katamatite held its first Poker (Dice) Run in memory of member and local identity Rob ‘Frog’ Foster.

About $2300 was raised for palliative care fuel vouchers to aid local oncology patients with travel costs.

Organisers extended an appreciative thank you to all who gave so generously on the day, including the God Squad, Tungamah, Bundalong and Barooga Hotels for their donations and to Mick and Christine Stewart at the Bundalong Tavern, who with club members prepared a great barbecue lunch for about 100 people.

A great day was had by all.
