Enjoy an Easter egg hunt among the prickly cacti

Festivities: Easter with a twist has come to Strathmerton, with an Easter egg hunt among the cacti at Cactus Country.

There will be plenty of chocolate-y treasure beneath the prickly exteriors of the many cacti at Strathmerton’s Cactus Country on the weekend.

It will be hosting an epic Easter egg hunt on Saturday and Sunday, as part of school holidays and Easter long weekend activities for children and families.

Besides the activities for kids, visitors to Cactus Country during the Easter holiday will have a chance to try the cactus chilli chocolate, produced especially for the event.

Tours throughout the 4ha of cacti and succulent garden will be operating throughout each day, and visitors can walk around wearing fancy sombreros.

●The Cactus Country Easter Egg Hunt will run from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Admission to Cactus Country is adults $12.50, seniors $10 and children $5, or $35 for a family.
