Plenty of pink could be seen on the putting greens at Cobram Barooga Golf Club on Wednesday, March 22 for the Murray River Ladies’ Challenge.

The challenge is contested between the Cobram Barooga and Tocumwal golf clubs each year.

The day also doubles as a fundraiser to help raise money for breast cancer research.

This year it was Cobram Barooga’s turn to hold the challenge and despite the wild and wet weather in the morning the day of golf went off without a problem to see some good scores reached by the 76 players.

Heading into the day, Cobram Barooga held bragging rights as it had won six of the eight contests dating back to 2009.

When the final scores were tallied Cobram Barooga was the winner with an average score of 35.6 to Tocumwal’s 33.0 for the stableford play.
